I had the opportunity to volunteer for four months at Ruchi and it was truly a wonderful experience. Although I initially came for the Women Power project, I was able to contribute to many different projects like school children & college students, livelihood etc which made each day at Ruchi full of surprises and discovery.
The staff at Ruchi were always eager to teach me about Himachali and Indian culture and we spent also a lot of time outside of volunteering work on cultural exchange activities (going to temples, festivals, etc…)With the help of my mentor (Madan), I also had the chance to organise many weekend trips outside the campus. I am returning to Belgium with a heart full of beautiful memories!
