My program focused on women-empowerment. It was very interesting to discuss the sociological and economical thinking with the Indian woman. The group leader was an excellent translator, and we were free to ask whatever we wanted. During the day we would often visit other sites of Ruchi projects, such as installed watertanks or -filters, which was very interesting to see (and often a beautiful walk)! During our free days, it was possible to visit other villages. Although many Indians in these villages don’t speak English, every Indian I encountered was more then willing to try and understand each other which always seemed to work. It was a great experience that left me with friends all over the world!
